Rust-Oleum Nano Shield PreFin Additive

Nano Shield Hardener is a unique curative designed to allow Nano Shield Rapid Cure and Nano Shield Advanced Floor Finish to accelerate cure time, enhance adhesion, and provide durability, especially to prefinished wood flooring. Use of the Hardener speeds the cure time from 10 days to 4 days.

Nano Shield Rapid Cure and Nano Shield Advanced Floor Finish with Nano Shield Hardener is recommended for use on residential wood floors: kitchens, living rooms, bedrooms, family rooms and entryways. It is also recommended for use on commercial wood floors to include retail stores, shopping centers, offices, restaurants, churches, classrooms, hotels, etc.

NOTE: It is not allowed to send this item through air mode. Surface mode is enabled for the same. Thus, shipping will be done through surface.

How to Apply Nano Shield Prefin Additive

Surface Preparation

For best results, use at temperatures above 60°F (16°C) and 80°F (27°C). To ensure proper adhesion, surfaces must be clean, dry, free from old finish, wax, grease and dust. For best results, follow NWFA Approved Sanding procedures. Remove all sanding dust with a vacuum and wipe clean with a lint-free cloth lightly dampened with water. Allow to dry thoroughly.

Application

Pour contents (8 oz.) of Nano Shield Hardener into one gallon of Nano Shield Rapid Cure or Nano Shield Advanced Floor Finish and stir thoroughly for 5 minutes, being careful to avoid foaming. Allow the activated finish to sit for 5 minutes before applying. After 5 minutes, follow the Nano Shield Rapid Cure or Nano Shield Advanced Floor Finish labels for application instructions. If the project needs less than 1 gallon, mix using a 1:12 ratio by weight. If a partial container is used, immediately close the bottle. DO NOT alter the prescribed ratio of Hardener to finish. A sample test area on the floor is always recommended.
