Rust-Oleum® NeverWet® Heavy Duty Base Coat for OEM applications is a superhydrophobic coating that protects against the harmful effects of water and mud. Unlike the original NeverWet Mult-Purpose Base Coat, NeverWet Heavy Duty Base Coat maintains its superhydrophobic properties throughout the entire thickness of the coating. The water repelling effect can be revitalized by lightly abrading the surface with sandpaper.

NOTE: It is not allowed to send this item through air mode. Surface mode is enabled for the same. Thus, shipping will be done through surface.

Features of the Product

  • Protects surfaces from the build-up of water, mud and other water-based liquids.
  • Can be used on a variety of surfaces including metal, concrete, masonry, wood and more.
  • Ideal for applications exposed to abrasive forces.
  • Covers up to 175 sq. ft./gal.

How to Apply Industrial NeverWet Heavy Duty Base Coat

Surface Preparation

Surfaces must be dry, clean and free of dirt, oil, grease, wax, dust, chalk, rust or any other contaminants that may prevent proper adhesion. Remove all loose or peeling paint. Plaster, concrete block, concrete and masonry surfaces must be cured. Remove all form release and curing agents.

Application

Mix thoroughly before using. Apply only when air and surface temperatures are between 50-90°F (10-32°C) and the relative humidity is not greater than 85%. Dry times may be affected by extremely high or low relative humidity.
