BuildKote is a two component, high solids Polyurea primer suitable for use with a variety of topcoats. It can also be used as a basecoat for color aggregate or color flake finishes.

  • Can be applied by spray or roller at temperatures between -20-100 F and in high humidity
  • Fast dry coating can be top coated in 2-4 hours
  • Provides excellent adhesion to concrete, fiberglass, wood, epoxy, urethanes and polyurethanes
  • Can be applied clear or tinted with Polyurea Universal Tints
  • Can also be applied to vertical surfaces as a primer or stand-alone coating

How to Apply BuildKote Polyurea Floor Coating Primer - Part A


Surface Preparation


The concrete surface must be free of all dirt, grease, oil, fats, and other contamination. Remove surface contamination by cleaning with Pure Strength 3599 Industrial Cleaner/Degreaser, detergent, or other suitable cleaner. Rinse thoroughly with clean, fresh water and allowed to dry.


Application


Apply only when air, material and floor temperatures are between -20 - 120°F (-29 - 32°C). Do not apply in direct sunlight or when temperature is rising. Immediately after mixing, pour the material onto the floor in a long, 8 to 12 inch wide stripe.
