Rust-Oleum Automotive High Heat Primer Spray is designed to apply on hot surface as a base coat. This unique formula promotes top coat adhesion, keeps rust away, and recommended to use for surfaces which reach intermittent temperatures up to 2000°F (1093°C). The coverage of this high temp primer is 10-12 square feet per cane. It dries to touch within 30 minutes. This product is suitable to use for hot automotive surfaces including.

How to Apply Rust-Oleum High Heat Primer Spray?
Suitable Conditions to Spray
Use outdoors or in a well ventilated area such as an open garage. Use when temperature is between 50-90°F (10- 32°C) and humidity is below 85% to ensure proper drying. Do not apply to galvanized metal. Do not use on metal directly exposed to flames. Avoid spraying in very windy and dusty conditions. Cover surrounding area to protect from spray mist.
Surface Preparation To Get Best Results
Wash the surface with a commercial detergent, or other suitable cleaning method. Rinse with fresh water and dry with a clean cloth. Remove loose paint and rust with a wire brush or sandpaper until the metal surface is completely bare. Lightly sand smooth and glossy surfaces.
Shake can vigorously for one minute after the mixing ball begins to rattle. If mixing ball fails to rattle DO NOT STRIKE CAN. Contact Rust-Oleum. Shake often during use. Hold can 8-12" from surface and spray in a steady back-and-forth motion, slightly overlapping each stroke. Keep the can the same distance from the surface and in motion while spraying. Apply 2 or more light coats a few minutes apart. Do not use near open flame.
