With Rust-Oleum's Peel Coat Spray Paint, it’s easy and affordable to customize your rims. Here’s how you can paint your rims in a few steps-
Step 1: Clean the rims with soapy water and dry it along with that.
Step 2: Tape off any areas you do not want to paint. Shake Peelable Primer vigorously for one minute after mixing ball starts to rattle.
Step 3: Over a drop cloth, hold the Peelable Primer can 8-12” from the rims and spray in a steady back-and-forth motion, slightly covering each stroke until the point that the whole zone is secured.
Step 4: Apply 3 or more coats of primer, holding up around 2-5 minutes between coats. After applying the last coat, immediately peel off the painter's tape to make sure clean edges.
Step 5: Let the Peelable Primer coating a chance to dry for at least 4 hours before applying the colored spray paint.
Step 6: Shake the can of spray paint for one minute after the mixing ball rattles and apply paint to the rims the similar way the primer was applied. Let dry about 20 minutes between coats and apply at least 2 or more coats of spray paint for full coverage.
Step 7: Unmask after a few minutes of final coat, then let all paint dry for no less than 4 hours before use. TIP: Remove Peelable Primer within 6 months for best results.
